This week, the European Union published the list of designated competent authorities tasked with overseeing the adherence of operators and traders to the EU Deforestation Regulation.

In Germany, the authority responsible is the Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung (BLE). Other countries like Austria and France have opted for a collaborative approach, with multiple authorities sharing the responsibility.

It's important to note that the current list is not complete as the details for 13 out of 27 member states are yet to be included.
